Vital Signs: Romorantin is a white grape grown almost exclusively in the eastern limits of Touraine, notably around Cheverny. It has a reputation for turning out austerely acidic, bone-dry, often oxidized wines but can be coaxed into more appealing, elegant expressions in the right hands.
Ali's Assessment: Savory, intensely acid driven. This is a briny, waxy, one-of-a-kind Loire Valley white.
