Vital Signs: Cencibel, the local clone of Tempranillo, is uniquely suited to the harsh climate of the area with a smaller, more compact bunch size and thicker skin to withstand heavy winds. Bush and trellised vines (average of 50 years old) on limestone and clay soils at 750-800 meters. 
Uncle Bill's Take: Love the tasting notes from Luis Gutierrez at the Wine Advocate. This is indeed a "happy, easygoing" kind of wine. It's unexpectedly complex and just big enough for New World red devotees but altogether more refreshing than most equivalent offerings.
